This call for a General Strike is a non-violent, peaceful, and powerful means to send a message to D.C. It is not meant to hurt the country in any way but to remove those who have.

GOVERNMENT  REFORM  LINKS  &  BLOGS

Links to other websites, many of which are helping to monitor and reform our federal government. Check out our allies in the fight against government waste, fraud, abuse and mismanagement:

  • Government Reform Links:

www.DownsizeDC.org  We believe the federal government has grown too large, too intrusive, and too expensive. We believe in constitutional limits, small government, civil liberties, federalism, and low taxes.

www.CenterForSmallGovernment.com  The Center For Small Government seeks to shrink the size of Big Government. To dramatically reduce government spending, taxes, power, debt, assets, and liabilities. We aim to dismantle, reduce, and remove Big Government policies and programs. At all levels of government: federal, state, and local.

www.stoptheraid08.com  As many Americans now know, Social Security currently runs a surplus, but will begin to run a deficit by about 2017. What many are surprised to learn is that Congress is spending today's Social Security surplus on pork and earmarks— such as the $3,000,000 the federal government gave to the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation or the $1,700,000 it paid for the International Fertilizer Development Center.

In exchange for these surplus dollars—about $449 billion total between 2008 and 2012— the Social Security "Trust Fund" gets special IOUs from Congress that are legally and financially worthless.

It is time to Stop the Raid!
It is critical to fix this broken system and begin to protect American retirements. Senator Jim DeMint is offering his “Stop the Raid” amendment, which takes an important step forward by ensuring that the Social Security surplus is saved using real assets (not more government IOUs) and begins the transition to a partially funded retirement system.
